On October 15, Montessori Cartagena School held its Spelling Bee 2026 at the auditorium of Universidad Tecnológica de Bolívar, bringing together 14 secondary school students from grades 6 to 11 to showcase their English language skills.
The Spelling Bee is an academic competition that challenges students to spell words correctly in English. This activity strengthens vocabulary, pronunciation, concentration, and self-confidence while encouraging students to develop their communication skills.
We proudly recognize our participants: Jerónimo Herrera Díaz, Antonella Martínez Erazo, Daniela Vallejo Nova, Tomás Trujillo, César Rodríguez, Nicolás Marrugo, Valentina Núñez, María de los Ángeles López, Alejandro Marrugo, Sebastián Mora Noriega, Mateo Bozi, María Alejandra Angulo, Juliette Barrios, and Samuel Rodríguez.
Congratulations to María Alejandra Angulo (10B), who earned first place, and María de los Ángeles López (9A), for her outstanding performance.
We extend our sincere gratitude to our judges, Tobias Dohlin and Jaclyn Biller, for their valuable participation and commitment, as well as to the teachers who led the event and our Foreign Languages Department for creating meaningful opportunities that promote learning, confidence, and academic excellence.
At Montessori Cartagena School, we continue to inspire our students to embrace new challenges and discover the power of language.
